Sorin Group’s Heart Valve Business Unit located in Burnaby, BC, has an opening for a Project Manager (Contract – 14 Months).
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our dynamic team of professional engineers and research scientists. We provide a challenging environment for goal-oriented team players who take pride in their work and contributions. This position requires a dedicated individual who demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills at multiple levels. The project manager will lead and motivate a variety of teams to meet company objectives.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Build and manage high performance teams
- Liaise with management to define project objectives
- Develop project plans and work within budgets
- Maintain schedules and align resources to ensure successful project outcome
- Identify any risks within the project plans and manage them appropriately
- Address problems and conflicts in a timely manner
- Ensure adequate and on-time completion of project records and documentation
- Manage project communications and presentations for employees and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering
- 2-3 years project management experience in product development, particularly in manufacturing, medical device, or biotechnology fields
- CAPM or PMP certification an asset
- Effective conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Ability to prioritize and successfully manage a number of projects simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Confidently solve problems and make decisions independently
