Sorin Group’s Heart Valve Business Unit located in Burnaby, BC, has an opening for a Project Manager (Contract – 14 Months).

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our dynamic team of professional engineers and research scientists. This position requires a dedicated individual who demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills at multiple levels. The project manager will lead and motivate a variety of teams to meet company objectives. 

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Build and manage high performance teams
  • Liaise with management to define project objectives
  • Develop project plans and work within budgets
  • Maintain schedules and align resources to ensure successful project outcome
  • Identify any risks within the project plans and manage them appropriately
  • Address problems and conflicts in a timely manner
  • Ensure adequate and on-time completion of project records and documentation
  • Manage project communications and presentations for employees and stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering
• 2-3 years project management experience in product development, particularly in manufacturing, medical device, or biotechnology fields
• CAPM or PMP certification an asset
• Effective conflict resolution skills
• Demonstrated leadership qualities
• Ability to prioritize and successfully manage a number of projects simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Confidently solve problems and make decisions independently
