PITO is seeking a Technical Analyst to provide expert technical advice and support to medical clinics and the clinics’ IT support resources through the implementation process and ongoing maintenance of an EMR system. The Technical Analyst has an in-depth understanding and knowledge of computers and networking (LAN & WAN) issues associated with EMR systems or clinical information systems. The focus of this role is to identify, clarify, and understand issues and provide technical solutions and training to EMR system users while serving as an advocate for customer needs.

The Technical Analyst works with multiple stakeholders including physicians, clinic staff, medical office assistants (MOAs), peer mentors, BCMA, Practice Support Program (PSP), Divisions of Family Practice, health authorities, EMR vendors, Telus PPN network, MoH, integrated health networks, and the PITO team. This position reports to the Technical Support Program Team Lead and is based in the PITO Vancouver office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides medical clinic network evaluation of complex LAN environments.
• Provides technical expertise in identifying and solving complex IT problems in medical clinics while involving various stakeholders.
• Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with various stakeholders to gain an understanding of technical context and information technology requirements; escalates issues to the Team Lead as necessary.

Simon Fraser University operates Oracle (PeopleSoft) including the business application, Human Capital Management (HCM), in support of Human Resources, Payroll, and a customized Budget system. The Department of Financial Services at SFU is looking for an experienced PeopleSoft Functional Support Analyst for the role of Business Systems Analyst. Reporting to the Director, Financial Services, the incumbent of this position will initially provide leadership for a number of comprehensive projects for Payroll in a PeopleSoft Payroll (HCM) system version 9.1 environment. The Business Systems Analyst will also be required to support the ownership and resolution of operational issues and proactively uncover opportunities to gain efficiencies through automation and workflow. The Business Systems Analyst will work collaboratively with departmental staff and the IT support team.

We seek a qualified Business Analyst with knowledge and experience in the HCM application, (preferably 9.x).   Work arises from observed issues/problems with the current systems, identifying and recommending requests for enhancements or new functionality. Work also arises through planned maintenance, configuration, and upgrades which are required to resolve issues or maintain currency of the system.

The incumbent of this position will work closely with end users to assist them with business process enhancement/ optimization, application usage, and problem resolution.
