• Wears multiple hats. You will work closely with engineering on detailed requirements; with sales, support, and learning services on channel certification and customer escalations; with product marketing on sales readiness and product launches; you will be the evangelist of the Sage 300 product at conferences and webinars; you will manage the customer and partner advisory boards; and you will collaborate with other product managers on integrated solutions and common components, including Business Intelligence, electronic payments and cloud based connected services.
• Controls the product roadmap. You manage the roadmap and define product requirements based on your detailed understanding of market needs and their business value. You work with R&D to understand the available resources to balance requirements, capacity and time to market.
• Can talk to the techies. Sage uses an Agile software development methodology, and you will work closely with the scrum teams. You have to provide them with a prioritized backlog of requirements and help them understand what problems the product needs to solve.
