Taking responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, providing excellent client satisfaction while managing your project team, meeting financial and other targets are required.&nbsp;In addition, you will work with our Account Managers to identify, develop and participate in the development and growth of the PeopleSoft practice.&nbsp;The ideal candidate will possess extensive past experience in a consulting or implementation role with a strong PeopleSoft background and exposure to a variety of PeopleSoft projects but with a focus and expertise with PeopleSoft HCM products.&nbsp;The ability to interface with the client IT management and the business user community is key, as most interactions are at the director and executive level.&nbsp;Your versatility in contributing to a variety of roles and an in-depth understanding of technical, functional and leadership roles along with sound project management methodologies and planning skills will be reflective in your experience.</p>

<li style="font-size: 13px;">Develop and/or manage the development, review and acceptance of work products and deliverables identified in the project plan, schedule and any other associated plan.</li>
<li style="font-size: 13px;">Develop and/or manage the development of resource requirements and manage resources in accordance with the policies and procedures. This includes the project team and other project resources (e.g., budget, schedules etc.).</li>
<li style="font-size: 13px;">Develop proposals and lead client presentations to respond to client issues and needs.</li>
<li style="font-size: 13px;">&nbsp;Support on-going business development initiatives</li>
<li style="font-size: 13px;">Maintain current knowledge of Sierra projects and services, industry practices, trends and issues to be able to influence the success of our client projects</li>

<p class="editor" style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; padding-bottom: 0px; font-size: 13px;">As the economic development agency of the City of Vancouver, the VEDC works to strengthen the city&#8217;s economic future by helping existing businesses, attracting new businesses, researching economic and business issues, and making policy recommendations on managing the local economy in a global environment. The agency also develops and executes special projects and programs that are deemed to be a benefit to the local economy.</p>
<p class="editor" style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; padding-bottom: 0px; font-size: 13px;">The VEDC is taking proactive steps to generate mechanisms required to support a stronger entrepreneurial economy in a variety of technology sectors. A significant part of this focus is on the support systems required to achieve this objective, and how government partners can strengthen or establish the tools required to ensure local entrepreneurial businesses in growing sectors like clean tech and the creative economy are well supported. A technology incubator and accelerator is one of those key support systems.</p>
<p class="editor" style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; padding-bottom: 0px; font-size: 13px;">The VEDC is working with the City of Vancouver to explore facilities that can support business incubation/acceleration initiatives and deliver active programs to entrepreneurial participants in growing technology sectors. The vision is to create an economic development platform that will foster innovation, great companies, and jobs. A new technology centre would serve the British Columbia economy and the entrepreneurs who are investing in Vancouver. The Technology Centre will help entrepreneurs by streamlining access to services, office space, business programs and community connections.</p>
<p class="editor" style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; padding-bottom: 0px; font-size: 13px;">An Executive Director is required to lead this centre of innovation. This is an exciting leadership role in the local Vancouver economy and an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with related experience who is seeking a challenging and highly rewarding career move in entrepreneurial development and innovation.</p>

<li>Work with a team of leaders at VEDC and in the business community to oversee the operation of a technology centre in Vancouver that incubates and accelerates startup companies;</li>
<li>Work with a board of directors of senior business leaders and manage the corporate responsibilities, as well as work closely advisory committees and boards related to the centre;</li>
<li>Design and manage centre programs including initiatives centered around entrepreneurial training, events, and service delivery;</li>
<li>Work with the senior management team, take high-level vision and plans and build out detailed programs to bring vision into reality</li>
<li>Carry out operational responsibilities around facilities management;</li>
<li>Prepare written reports, proposals, summaries and presentations for a variety of purposes including the promotion of the VTC and fundraising activities</li>
<li>Make recommendations on strategies to strengthen key technology clusters. Identify both challenges and opportunities for business growth. Using this information to inform the VEDC who can advise the City on policy;</li>
<li>Execute communications and marketing programs that promote the VTC;</li>
<li>Respond to in-bound business location inquiries, including preparing requests for detailed business proposals and information about the VTC;</li>
<li>Hosting business delegations and site location visits, including from the financial community and other agency or governments;</li>
<li>Maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders that support the VTC, including business and industry associations, all levels of government, site selection and real estate professionals, consular staff, educational and research institutions, and other relevant contacts.</li>
<li>Provide liaison services between potential investors and the tenants of the VTC;</li>
<li>Prepare funding proposals to secure funding for special projects when needed;</li>
<li>Other activities and duties related to the role as needed;</li>
<li>Be a community leader, visionary and advocate for entrepreneurs; Support and inspire staff.</li>
</ul>
<p class="editor" style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; padding-bottom: 0px; font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">Skills, experience and credentials:</span></p>
<ul style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">
<li>Solid program management experience including strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and balance competing demands;</li>
<li>Good understanding of business planning principles and goal setting, with the ability to set clear goals and priorities, and deliver results;</li>
<li>Excellent verbal communication skills, including ability to speak in public to diverse audiences; (Fluent in English, both written and spoken);</li>
<li>Good understanding of local community stakeholders, government, and Vancouver&#8217;s business community;</li>
<li>University degree in business administration, commerce, economics, entrepreneurship, or related discipline combined with related work experience;</li>
<li>Direct personal leadership experience in an entrepreneurial business</li>
<li>Experience with grant writing and fundraising including familiarity with Canadian government programs and grants</li>
<li>Facility management an operations experience;</li>
</ul>
